Waimea Falls. Does it get any better than this?

Beautiful, peaceful gardens for a ¾ mile hike to the falls. We took many side trails just to thoroughly enjoy all Waimea Valley had to offer. With no beach towel, I decided not to swim in the pool under the waterfall. Heath accidently forgot his suit before we left for the day. The air temperature was maybe 70 degrees. Not hot or cold. The wind cooled things down, although we were protected from most wind in the gardens. The people who did swim came out blue and violently shivering.

We saw honu (sea turtles) at Laniakea Beach, dipped our toes (occasionally waves splashed past our knees), and found lots of seashells and tide pools. Hawaii sure is a pretty place.
